PTO Officer Elections to be

Held April 15^th, 2008

Please consider becoming a PTO officer for the 2008-2009 school year.  We will hold the election of new officers at the April 15th, 2008 meeting at Ayres Elementary at 6:00 p.m.  Feel free to contact any of the current officers for more information about the offices.  All positions are re-elected each year.

Upcoming Skate Night   6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – April 15^th Ayres Elementary

April 4^th - PTO Movie for Campbell students – Charlotte’s Web.  Parents may join their children, paying just $3 at the door.  Please let your child’s teacher know if you are planning on meeting them there.      

April 14^th – Egyptian Discoveries Assemblies.  Ayres - AM Kdg and 2^nd grade at 8:45 a.m; AM Kdg and 1^st grade at 9:45 a.m.  Campbell – PM Kinders & 3^rd grade at 1:00 p.m.; 4^th and 5^th grade at 2:00 p.m.

April 23^rd – Musical Life Skills Assemblies.  See schedule above.

Art Cards – For those who placed an order - the art cards will be distributed to students at school upon receipt mid-May.  All students had an opportunity to receive special instruction from local artists on drawing techniques in March during small assemblies. 

National Volunteer Appreciation Week – April 28^th.  Thank you so very much for all you do to volunteer in PTO functions, in the classroom, on the playground, BAC, RIF and other committees.   “The world is hugged by the faithful arms of volunteers.” – Everett M          amor

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week – May 5th, 2008.  Call Michelle Kaiser for more information on planned activities at 522-0611.  It is said that dedicated education staff are like candles.  They consume themselves in order to light the way for others.  May we take this time to offer renewal, refreshment and gratitude to these special people in our lives.  Thank you to the staff at Ayres Elementary and Campbell Elementary.  We appreciate each of you.

Bowling Lock-In – Thank you to Ice Lanes Bowling Alley for your generosity in donating to the PTO from proceeds of your planned lock-in over spring break.  Please note that no PTO volunteers or School District personnel will be assisting in this activity’s planning, supervision or implementation. 

     Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels

Thank you so very much for your time in collecting Box Top Labels for Education and Campbell’s labels.  Campbell’s Labels  will now only accept a label that has the UPC code on it.  Remember to collect during the summer months.  We brought in nearly $800 from Box Top Labels this year.  Thank you!
